A new year deserves new beginnings...as I was sitting and wondering what was 'new' about the year and how would I make this year fulfilling, I happened to browse through Preeti Shenoy's blog. Wishlist Wednesday No 4 seems like a god-sent inspiration for me to make a new beginning and take the first step towards something that I love to do... writing :-)
I wish everyone loved themselves enough to find their true passion in life, because when you know what makes your heart happy and your eyes twinkle, then life changes. We spend our lives doing things that others, or our own conditioning, make us believe are good for us..we choose a path that's safe and comfortable. If each one of us loved oneself enough to embark on a journey of self-discovery, and would make the effort to find that one (or many) thing that makes us truly happy, the world would sure be a more joyous place to be.
I wish everyone loved and cherished the simple gifts that life offers us..a healthy body, loving family & friends and an opportunity to live our life the way we want to. I cherish the time I get to spend with my little son, the opportunity to read and travel and feel blessed to have loving people all around. As Rhonda Byrne beautifully conveys in her books: being thankful and grateful has the power to change lives.
I wish everyone loved their city/country as much as we love our own homes and spaces. The sense of ownership and responsibility can work wonders in a country like ours.
With this fantastic new year, my journey begins once more..

Hi Mani, you're so true about loving and cherishing the simple gifts that life offers us....how often we ignore what we have and crave for what we don't. Loved this. best regards, Komal
ReplyDeleteHi M! No truer words were said my friend... Do I love myself enough to embark upon a journey of discovering my likes, passions and purposes?! Well, you've got me thinking...thinking really hard!
